with Rotem Energy
Haifa and the Krayot have a wide mix of buildings: private homes on the mountain, the roofs of high-rise apartment blocks, industrial buildings around the bay, commercial roofs and public institutions. All of them can take solar systems at different scales, from residential systems up to large commercial installations.
Rotem Energy’s installation, modeling and management teams are permanent, experienced crews who know urban work processes inside out, and they stay with you from the first site survey through to ongoing monitoring after installation. We handle the bureaucracy and the licensing, and make sure you get the maximum output from your system.
Haifa and the Krayot towns (Kiryat Ono, Kiryat Ata, Kiryat Bialik, Kiryat Yam and Kiryat Motzkin) qualify for the urban premium: a tariff bonus of 6 agorot for every kWh produced and sold to the Israel Electric Corporation, on top of the standard tariff. It is a significant benefit for specific cities where the state wants to increase the number of solar systems, and it adds roughly 12.5% to your annual return from the system (depending on system size).
On a residential system of up to 22.5 kW, residents of Haifa and the Krayot receive 54 agorot per kWh produced instead of 48 agorot. The benefit applies to commercial systems too, according to the relevant Israel Electric Corporation tariffs.
we have built in Haifa and the Krayot:

Thanks to Haifa’s unusual topography, from the heights of Mount Carmel down to the flat areas around the bay, the type of solar system can be matched to the structure, the roof pitch and the direction of the sun, so the system produces its maximum output all year round.
Worth knowing: installation quality has a large effect on how much a system produces. Our professional team at Rotem Energy comes out to you and examines angles, roof obstructions, possible orientations and many other parameters, so that you get the fullest possible use of your roof or land.
