Solar calculator -
how much is your roof or land (really) worth?
We have built you the smartest, most advanced solar calculator in Israel. It gives you meaningful figures to inform your decision about building a solar system of any kind. The calculator shows the average annual income from your system, the income over 25 years (the agreement with the Israel Electric Corporation runs for 25 years), and for some system types the size of the system in kilowatts. You also get a near-accurate estimate of your rate of return and of how many years it takes to recoup the investment. Please note – this is an initial estimate only. An accurate indication is given once the final system plans are ready.

Many homeowners and businesses in Israel have discovered the financial potential of generating solar power in recent years. But not everyone knows that in certain municipalities you can receive an additional cash incentive for every kWh (kilowatt-hour) your system feeds into the grid – a state incentive known as the urban premium. It is a benefit that makes investing in a solar system even more worthwhile, particularly in designated urban areas. The tariff bonus is 6 agorot per kWh; for residential systems that works out at roughly 12.5% extra (54 agorot instead of the 48 agorot you receive from the electric company), and for industrial and commercial systems the bonus is also 6 agorot, though it represents a slightly lower percentage depending on the size of the system.
As of 2026 the Electricity Authority has set out a list of cities and local authorities where the premium is available, among them Tel Aviv-Yafo, Haifa, Netanya and others. Click to view the full list

The Israel Electric Corporation has launched the green route: a simple online process for connecting your residential solar system of up to 22.5 kW to the electric company’s systems, so you can start producing green solar power for your home as soon as the installation is finished.
The state encourages the move to renewable green energy of every kind, and to solar energy in particular. On top of that, the electric company signs agreements with residential and industrial producers to buy their electricity for 25 years. As a result, in most cases the system owner’s bank provides full financing for the system.
Israeli banks are well aware of how worthwhile an investment in renewable energy is – and you, the client and system owner, can expect to repay the financing within just a few years and then carry on earning a passive income from your system for many years to come.
